Pay and receive payments
Pay with Heth
Open the payment screen and follow the available payment method. A payer QR can authorize a payment: share it only with the intended merchant. Where the app requests amount confirmation, check the merchant and amount before confirming. Never send your recovery phrase or payment secret to a merchant or AI assistant.
The app can show some cached information or generate certain payer codes without a connection. The merchant still needs connectivity to process the payment; ordinary transfers do not execute offline. See offline limits.
Confirm the payment amount
Follow the confirmation method Heth shows for this payment:
- Open your payer QR and show it only to the intended merchant.
- Check the requested amount and recipient before approving.
- If Heth asks you to generate a code, return to the amount-confirmation screen after displaying your QR, enter the payment amount and generate the current code.
- Read that code to the cashier only for this payment. It is different from a recovery phrase, PIN or reusable payment secret, which you must keep private.
- If the QR or code expires, open a fresh one and follow the current prompt. If confirmation is not configured, complete the setup in Heth while online.
- Check the original transaction status. A displayed QR, generated code or cashier request does not by itself prove payment.
Accept a Heth payment
- Open Business.
- Enter the amount and select an available asset/network.
- Scan the payer's Heth QR and submit the request.
- If payer approval is required, wait for it.
- Treat the payment as received only when its status is
charged.
A decline, pending result and timeout are different outcomes. Keep the original operation identifier when checking the result.
Share a receiving link
The payment-link screen generates a Heth receiving URL with your recipient identifier, selected currency and, optionally, an amount. The payer reviews and authorizes the transfer. Sharing the link does not charge anyone.
This receiving URL differs from a managed business payment link created through an API. Do not assume a locally generated receiving link has a server-side list, expiry or cancellation function.
Other QR providers
Only use methods actually enabled for your account. A QR provider logo or a scanner recognizing a format is not proof that the corresponding payment route is available. Contact support if a method cannot be used; do not substitute another recipient or network to force a payment through.
