Account security and offline use
Recovery and signing
Keep recovery phrases and private keys in the wallet that owns them. A PIN or biometric unlock protects access on the current device; it is not a replacement for a recovery backup. Never share a seed, private key or reusable payment secret with support, a merchant or an AI assistant. Show a one-time payment QR only to the intended merchant. If Mode B explicitly asks you to read a confirmation code to the cashier, do so only after checking that payment and its amount.
Check the origin, recipient, amount, currency and network before signing. Reconnecting an account, changing a network or opening a wallet prompt does not by itself complete a payment. For a hardware wallet, check the details on the device as well.
Face ID / Touch ID and passkeys
In Settings → Face ID / Touch ID, enable biometric unlock if this option is available, then confirm the system prompt. Heth uses a WebAuthn credential (passkey) for local unlock. Availability depends on the device and browser; use your PIN when biometric unlock is unavailable or cancelled.
This unlocks Heth on the current device. It does not replace your recovery phrase, recover an account on another device, or authorize an AI connection or payment. Keep your recovery backup before changing devices or reinstalling Heth.
Offline limits
Cached balances and history can be viewed while offline, but may be out of date. Some payer codes can be generated locally for a merchant who is online. Sending transfers, loading current balances and receiving a confirmed processing result require connectivity. After reconnecting, refresh history before repeating any operation.
Fees and support
Check the fees and amount shown for the actual operation. A blockchain gas fee can be separate from the service fee. Do not infer a fee or guaranteed completion time from another transfer type.
Use Heth support and share the transaction identifier and problem description. Do not send account secrets. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in Heth.
